Figures & Fictions: Contemporary South African Photography

This week I was lucky enough to attend the opening of a new photographic exhibition, Future & Fictions at the V & A here in London. It features a great selection of prints by established SA photographers such as Pieter Hugo as well as some brand new people. The V & A says

The photographs on display respond to the country’s powerful rethinking of issues of identity across race, gender, class and politics”.

If photography floats your boat, I’d highly recommend a visit. Here are a small selection:
