Chancha Via Circuito ‘Rio Arriba’

I hardly listen to full albums these days but one that I’ve come back to time and time again this year is the stunning 2nd album from Buenos Aires’s Chancha Via Circuito. Far from the party digital cumbia of other ZZK releases, Chancha weaves a deep South American sound with delicate hypnotic folkloric percussion and lamenting vocal samples. It’s an absolute killer called Rio Arriba. And its got a cool cover with a little bloke playing a rainbow flute in front of a mountain.

Check out lots of the tracks on this excellent mix he did for XLR8R or stream it all here.

But I would suggest you just buy it here.
